I am a stay-at-home teenage girl, and I'm pretty sure a lot of y'all are too. I get money for holidays mostly, but its always nice to be able to carry around a little pocket change even when its not a holiday. So here are some ways that you, as a stay-at-home teenage girl, can earn money.
Babysitting is always an excellent option. If you have a car you can babysit, and even if you don't, you might be able to work something out and have the children dropped off at your house. Just make sure to ask your parents first. :P
Music lessons is another excellent option. I give piano lessons and I charge $15 for a thirty minute lesson and $25 for an hour. So even if you only have one student for a half an hour, making $15 a week is a nice little bit of money.
If you are an animal lover, then you should try animal sitting. My little brother (he's 14) dog sat for a lady a couple weeks ago and he made quite a bit of money. You could also walk peoples dogs.
We all collect junk (at least I do ;) ). You can probably sell that stuff and earn some cash. Have a yard sale. Sell it on EBay. Somebody will most likely want to buy it.
I'm not very talented in the art compartment but a lot of you girls are. If you like to paint, sell your paintings. If you like to make jewelry, sell your jewelry. Maybe you are talented with photography. You can sell your pictures. You get the idea.

ReplyDeleteGreat ideas! During high school, I was a nanny five days a week--I'd get the kids off the bus and then watch them for two or three hours until their parents got home. I made quite a bit of $$ doing that. Since I graduated in May, I now have several sources of income: I write for a CrossFit company, I do whatever other freelance writing jobs I can get, I do freelance voiceover work (for video games, commercials, etc), and I work for a local nonprofit that tutors underprivileged kids!

Those are some good ideas!! I've been trying to sell what I'm crocheting. It's a slow progress, but it's working. :) I'd love to babysit, animalsit, or clean on a regular basis, but we can't trust most of the people here and they have such crooked life styles. I think I'd rather stick with selling stuff for now, but I'll take whatever comes my way! :)
