November in Review -- Q+A + thanksgiving + air soft wars + campfires || Hello December

HAPPENINGS

I drove for the first time at night!!! It was actually a lot easier than I was expecting.

I'm almost finished school!!! OH YEAH!!!! (and I've already written my graduation speech which I won't be saying until next year????)

I went hiking with my siblings and friends. We got lost and ended up walking over ten miles. But it was still a lot of fun!!

I went Christmas shopping with Mama and Kris and we went to Chik-fil-a for lunch!!!

We had an air soft war with some friends.

Thanksgiving happened (HAPPY THANKSGIVING Y'ALL if I didn't say that already)

↑ On the way to my Grandmothers house for Thanksgiving ↑

Our house is all decorated for Christmas!! Ahhhh....

I have come to realize that I have the BEST FRIENDS EVER *nod nod*

We went to our friends house, ate amazing food, played kick ball, and just sat around the campfire and talked! IT WAS AN AWESOME NIGHT!!!!

I'm doing a Q+A so don't forget to ask some questions in the comments!!

RANDOM MOMENTS

"I have a new doll. She has clothes on." - my niece

Ben, Kris, and I all singing a random song together and without realizing it we were singing three part harmony and it sounded pretty good.
us after we finished the song:

kris: "Something feels weird. I think I'm sitting backwards."

Kris and me debating on how old you have to be to be considered a spinster??? (UPDATE: we still don't know the answer)

A little boy from our church was telling us a story.
me: "How did you come up with that story?"
lil boy: "From my genius head."

me talking to ben: "What time is it?"
ben*glances down at his kindle* "It's ninety two percent. I mean eight fifty."

lil kid: "Look at the moon. Do you have a moon at your house?"

We were over at a friends house and I couldn't find my gloves, so one of their little kids (she's three) saw some gloves, picked them up, smelled them, and then said, "Yep, they're yours."
I'm not quite sure what to think of it....

LETTERS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE || Happy Veterans Day

Back in July I wrote a letter to President Donald Trump and his son, Barron Trump. I was kind of nervous sending them out 'cause it was going to the White House and stuff, but I got a reply one day in October! Daddy and Mama brought it in the room to me and I did everything in my power not to rip it open. When I finally got it open, I saw a beautiful stationary letter from Melania Trump (I guess she was writing for her son, Barron)

 Ms. Madelyn,
The President and I received your recent note. We appreciate you thinking about our family.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Sincerely,
Melania Trump

I was pretty excited! I didn't expect to get any more letters, but sure enough I got yet ANOTHER letter from the White House! This one I was even more excited about. IT WAS FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!! His letter was a little longer and more personal.

Dear Madelyn,

Thank you so much for your thoughtful letter and prayers. It is an honor to serve as your President. I always enjoy hearing from young readers like you.

With your faith and determination, I have not doubt you can do anything to which you set your mind. Think big and dream even bigger! You are the future of our great Nation.

May God bless you, and may God bless the United States of America.

Sincerely,
Donald Trump

It was SO NEAT getting letters from the White House and it will be something I'll never forget!

Also, I want to say "Happy Veterans Day" to all of the veterans. I thank every one of you so much for living so selflessly and bravely for our country. May God bless you all.

Have you ever written a letter to somebody important? Did you get a reply? What did they say? Do you know anybody that was/is in the military?

SUMMARY

What is this thing between guys and girls? Do we call it Dating? Attraction? Interest? We all know it’s there, but no one really knows what to call it, and for some strange reason everyone is afraid to talk about it! So what do you call it? You’ve probably said it. “We’re just friends!” Sometimes you mean it; sometimes you mean something a little stronger, but a bit harder to define. Whatever you call it, it’s time to understand a reasonable and biblical approach to guy/girl relationships. This book will help you protect your heart as you journey through the dangerous minefields of young emotions and early attractions. And it will help you understand the biblical principles that will ultimately lead you to true love and a “wonderful someday.”

MY REVIEW

"Just Friends" is a GREAT book for teenagers. When I first picked it up I thought it would be boring, but I honestly REALLY enjoyed it and it helped me out a lot. I read it a few weeks ago and I'm thinking about reading it again soon to take notes (That should tell you how much I enjoyed it!).
I loved how it focused on being "Just Friends" and having a godly relationship with the opposite gender instead of having a relationship of feelings, especially when you're still too young to start a serious relationship with that person.
The book also touched on being a godlier person and becoming the right person for your future spouse which I really enjoyed reading.

Like I said earlier, this was a great book and I recommend that every teenager read it.
