ATTENTION ALL BOOKWORMS || i need your help

I know I said I wasn't going to do a post today because I'm graduating and I'm REALLY busy, but I wanted to ask all of the bookworms out there a favor. I need your help. I am looking for clean (ex: no curse words, no suggestive scenes, etc.) book recommendations. As you probably already know, I am an avid reader, and I would love to find some new books to read this Summer.

So if you can think of any books that fit the description clean, I'm definitely interested :)

Thanks, guys!!

:::
And yes, today is the big day. I'm graduating at two o'clock this afternoon. And although I am SO NERVOUS, I know that its going to be a good day!!!

  1. The Tales of Goldstone Wood, if you haven't read them already, are absolutely beautiful and amazing and quite clean, I'd highly recommend them!

  2. Oooooh, finding and recommending good, clean books is one of my favorite things to do. Let's see...

+ The Princess Academy series, by Shannon Hale. Each book is so good. Also, her Books of Bayern series. (I have only read the first two in this series so far, but if they are any indication of the rest of the series, I'm sure the high standards I have for this series will be upheld.

+Any books by Jill Williamson (from the Go Teen Writers website). None of her books have ever disappointed me, and she is one of my favorite contemporary authors. Depending on what genre you would prefer, I recommend The Blood of Kings trilogy (fantasy), The Safe Lands trilogy (dystopian), and Replication (contemporary with sci-fi elements).

+ The Giver Quarter, by Lois Lowry. Each book is so hauntingly beautiful-my heart is ripped into shreds before being stitched together again during each reread.

+The Ascendance Trilogy, by Jennifer A. Nielsen. Besides having a clever, witty, sarcastic, hilarious hero, this series moves along at a breakneck speed. Every time I got the next book, I sat down and read it in one sitting, it was so good.

+ Chasing Jupiter, by Rachel Coker. Set in the 1960's, this teen(!!) author does an incredible job of weaving together this story, and does an especially good job of creating realistic family dynamics.

+ The Mysterious Benedict Society series, by Trenton Lee Stewart. While this is intended for a middle grade audience, this is a suspenseful adventure series I think everyone, no matter what their age should read.

+ I always enjoy catching up on classics during the summer. Some I would recommend are the entire Anne of Green Gables series (Lucy Maud Montgomery), the Scarlet Pimpernel (Baroness Orczy), and Northanger Abbey (Jane Austen).

Well, there you go! Hehe, can you tell I enjoy recommending books I love? Let me know if you read any of these!

    xx

The only books I've heard about from the ones you recommended were The Giver quartet (which I've actually never read before) and the classics (I've read some of the Anne Of Green Gables series).
Thanks again! I'll definitely look them up :)

  3. CONGRATS!!! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!

    Clean books??

Ooh, In Between by Jenny B. Jones (free on kindle)
Um, one book I really LOVE, but may not fit the description of clean is The Blood Race by K.A Emmons. It does have swearing and there are scenes where you might consider them suggestive, however that stuff is used to show that there is better and you don't have to do those things in life. So... it may not be something you're interested in, but I know the first nine chapters are free. I could give you the link if you want to see if it would be something you'd be interested in. :)

    Congratulations on your graduation!!!!
If you want to buy books, TGS International and Christian Light Publications have some good ones. I can recommend some of my favorites if you are interested in buying!!
There are a lot of good old(1800's) books on Google Books - free e-books. Try searching authors like A.L.O.E and Isabella Alden.

  6. Chuck Black writes good Christian fantasy set in medieval times.

Highly recommend Janette Oke, historical fiction/clean romance. Tons of series to choose from with her.

Beverly Lewis is alright, if you like Amish fiction, I just find that her books eventually get redundant, but my older sister likes them.

“Martin Hospitality,” by Abigayle Claire is really good. Contemporary.

Hope Ann’s books are also fantastic. Allegorical Christian fantasy.

  12. Hey, I know you are probably already getting a whole bunch of recommends but I wanted to put one of my favorite books out there anyway. It's called The Heart of Arcrea by Nicole Sager. The author was homeschooled and wrote the book as a teen. It was self-published but the book itself is AMAZING!! Totally clean and encouraging. Not only is it written well, but it also shares the gospel in it (which I rarely find in books)!

Oh, and congrats on graduating!!! <333
