A LIFE UPDATE

Hey guys! It's been forever since I did a life update. And I have a lot that's been going on :)

I got all four of my wisdom teeth out on February 28th. And since they were impacted, I had to get them all CUT out. It was my first "real" surgery. I was SO nervous. But I had tons of people praying for me and it all went smoothly. It felt so weird getting put out with the anesthesia and they had a hard time waking me up afterwards. I don't remember much, but I do remember them helping me into a wheelchair, and then I went back to sleep. I woke back up when they were rolling me to my car. I saw Mama and Daddy from a distance and they looked like two super long shadow people, haha! I almost fell down when I was trying to get in the car, but I finally made it and I think I slept most of the way home. I was SO hungry, but I couldn't eat anything because my mouth was so numb. I think I feasted on ice cream for nearly a whole week. And my mouth got so swollen a few days after my surgery that I looked like a chipmunk, haha xD Anyway, the holes are nearly closed up now and they don't hurt at all anymore :)

I've been staying busy with my nanny job. While I was over at their house one beautiful sunny day, we were outside and Christopher saw me taking pictures of flowers. So he ran inside and grabbed his iPad so he could take pictures too! I think he's just realized that he enjoys photography, which works out great! So we've been going around and taking pictures together of the flowers that have just started to bloom. I think it's really cute and it's something we can do together that we both have fun with :)

Sadly, we got rid of our chickens :'( It was just time to let them go. A man, who is starting a little farm, offered to take them for us. I'm sure they'll have a good home, but I sure miss them. And I'm really going to miss those fresh brown eggs.

Lord willing, I'm going to be doing a garden this year. We don't have a tiller, so I'll have to do everything with a hoe, which will maximize the work I put into it. But I have fun gardening and I think it'll be worth it. I'm planning on planting cucumbers (to make pickles and can), squash,  lettuce, spinach, maybe potatoes, and Daddy is going to do some tomatoes. So it's not going to be a ginormous garden, but I'm still excited about it!

I've just recently started enjoying embroidery. It's a lot of fun and very relaxing. I'm still not too good at it, but I think I am starting to see an improvement. It's kind of become my newest hobby :)

We've been staying busy with random things also like helping some friends move into their new house, working around our house (inside and out), working at the church, helping some friends with a yard sale, and things like that. We've really been staying busy.

I have some exciting news!! Mama, Kristen, and I will all be flying out to Oklahoma to visit my sister and her family in a few days!! I'm beyond excited! It'll be my first time flying and I absolutely cannot wait :D And it'll be so good to see my nieces and nephew. I miss them all so much.
So we've been pretty busy trying to get everything ready for our trip. Packing and so fourth. We're planning on staying about a week in Oklahoma, and then Katy and the kids and us will be road tripping back here to Virginia together. It's going to be one packed van, but it'll be fun! An adventure ;)
And then I think Katy is planning to stay here for about a week and a half. So I'm VERY excited!!

So that's my life update. As you can tell, we've all been pretty busy around here.

What have you been up to lately?

FAB FIT FUN SPRING 2019 UNBOXING AND REVIEW + A COUPON CODE FOR YOU!

Hey guys. Long time no post ;) I know it's been a long time since I've last posted on here. It's been 2 whole months! How is that possible!? Anyway, it's been nice to have a break. I'm going to try and get back in the groove of posting posts on here more regularly again though :)

So I'm here today to share with y'all what I got in my spring 2019 Fab Fit Fun box! I first heard about FFF from my sister Kristen. She had seen an Ad for it on Pinterest quite a while back and we both thought it looked like a neat concept, but we never really went much further than that.
Then a youtube channel we like to look at was doing a FFF unboxing and a review. And then another youtube channel I like to look at was doing the same thing. So I decided to look into it.

Basically the Fab Fit Fun boxes are seasonal subscription boxes. You pay $49.99 every season to get a box filled with over $200 worth of products every season. So you get a box Spring, Summer, Fall, and winter.
Since I have a job now and since I'm making a little bit extra cash, I decided to give it a try.

I've already gotten one box (the 2018 winter editors edition box) which I LOVED! So I was SO EXCITED to get my Spring 2019 box!

Once you sign up, you can decide whether you want to be a seasonal member or an annual member. The annual member actually gets to save $20 on their box plus they get extra customization and stuff like that. But I just decided to go for the seasonal membership. It's whatever works best for you and this way seems to work the best for me :)

Ok so when you're signing up, you fill out a little survey telling them a little bit about yourself. That way they can send you products that work and fit your lifestyle the best.

All members get to customize a few items in their boxes, it's just that annual subscribers get to customize a little more than the seasonal subscribers. That doesn't bother me though.

Anyway, now I'll show you what I got in my box! :)

First off, look at that adorable box!! It's so cute!! It made me so excited to see what was going to be inside :D

The first thing I saw when I opened up my box was a $50 gift card to Hello Fresh. I don't really know too much about Hello Fresh, but it sounds like an awesome deal. Plus it said I would get free shipping on my first two deliveries! Like I said, I don't really don't know too much about it, but I'm going to look into it. It seems like a really neat concept :)

The next thing in my box was a my mystery item. I was able to customize this item and they gave me the choice between a lotion, some measuring spoons, or a mystery item. So I decided to go with the mystery item. Who doesn't love a good mystery ;)
My mystery item turned out to be a Maya Brenner silver bracelet that says Love. Out of everything in my box, this was probably my least favorite item. Somebody else would probably love it, but I'm just not a big bracelet type person. But I'm sure I'll be able to find it a good home :)
This item is worth $20

The next thing I got was a Dr. Brandt No More Baggage eye de-puffing gel. This was one of the items that everyone got in their Spring box. It's supposed to help with dark circles (which I have big time xD) and so I was very happy when I found out I got this :)
This item is worth $42

Next was some Ouai leave in conditioner. I've just recently gotten into using leave in conditioner, so I was very excited to find some in my box :D
This is worth $26

Then I got a bar necklace by the brand The 2Bandits. It's a beautiful silver color. Kristen got a bar necklace for Christmas last year, and ever since I saw hers, I wanted one. I was very happy to find out it was in my Spring box! And I think Mama was happy too since she's been wanting one for a while now as well. I have a feeling we're going to end up sharing it ;)
This is worth $30

Then I got the Tula Purifying Face Cleanser. Everyone can use a new facial cleanser ;)
This item is worth $28

Next up in my box was some Manna Kadar Champagne Charcoal Body Scrub. It comes in the prettiest little jar and it smells absolutely amazing!! I can't wait to try it out!!
This is worth $24

Next is the Deux Lux Backpack. This was a choice item I was able to choose between a Floral bathrobe, an essential oil diffuser, or the backpack. So I decided to go with the backpack. The black is a sort of leather and the cream part is like a canvas. I was very excited to get this item, and I think it'll be adorable for the Spring!
This backpack is worth $75

The last thing I got in my box was the Quay Australia Vivienne sunglasses in the color black/smoke. This was also a choice item. I was able to choose between the Quay Australia My Girl sunglasses, the Quay Australia Vivienne sunglasses, the Sunnylife Lovers Picnic set, or the Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Brightening Sleeping Facial. I decided to go with the Vivienne sunglasses, mostly because I love aviators, and I've been needing a new pair. They're a little oversized, but I absolutely love them!!
The Quay Australia Vivienne sunglasses are worth $60

So everything I got in my box is worth $305! It's such a good deal considering you only pay $49.99 for everything!!

I'm very happy with everything I got in my box! My least favorite item would probably be the bracelet I got and my favorite item would probably be the sunglasses.

But like I said, I'm very happy with my Spring 2019 box!!

Now I have a little something for you. If you're interested in joining Fab Fit Fun, click the link below to get $10 OFF your first box! That way you're getting the box for $39.99!
